Michigan State basketball will be getting a big visit from five-star small forward Dwayne Aristode this fall.
Death. Taxes. Michigan State basketball battling Duke for a top recruit.
It’s been a minute since we’ve seen a really intense recruiting battle between Michigan State and Duke, but the Spartans and Blue Devils are renewing the rivalry. Even though Coach K is gone, Jon Scheyer is putting in the work to be a thorn in Tom Izzo’s side.
According to report from Joe Tipton on Thursday, Michigan State and Duke are both getting visits from one of the best recruits in the entire 2025 class.
Per the Tipton report, which is behind a paywall, Michigan State and Duke will both be getting a visit from five-star small forward Dwayne Aristode from Wolfeboro, N.H.
This might come as a surprise to some Michigan State fans because he’s a somewhat new name on the 2025 recruiting board. We all know about Trey McKenney, Jalen Haralson, Trent Sisley, Jordan Scott, Darius Adams, Niko Bundalo, Davion Hannah, and most recently Cam Ward, but it looks like Aristode is a legitimate name to watch. He has really come on lately with the Spartans, mentioning that they’re one of the programs pushing hardest for his services.
That type of statement is hard to ignore.
Aristode has gone one step further and has said that he’s planning to take an official visit to East Lansing. He joins an impressive list of visitors this fall for Izzo and Michigan State. He might be up there as the most important alongside Haralson and McKenney.
The five-star wing from New Hampshire stands 6-foot-7 and weighs about 185 pounds and he’s ranked the No. 18 prospect in the 2025 class, according the 247Sports Composite. He’s already visited Arizona and plans to see Wake Forest but now we can add Duke and Michigan State to that list.
Maybe this will be the surprise commit to kickstart the 2025 class.
