Michigan State football coach Mel Tucker will host a top 2024 quarterback target next week. Is this his guy?
One of the more recent, fast-rising prospects of the 2024 cycle has announced he will be visiting East Lansing on May 23. Quarterback Miles O’Neill from Princeton, N.J., has been a new name rising in the ranks of next year’s class. He holds an impressive offer list including offers from Penn State, Texas A&M, Pittsburgh, and Michigan State football.
O’Neill is not only an impressive athlete but also he’s an impressive student. He also received football offers from three Ivy League schools: Princeton, Columbia, and Penn.
O’Neill has only one official visit locked in so far with Virginia for June 2.
The month of May has seen a lot of Power Five schools take notice of him. In fact, Miles picked up his offers from Texas A&M and Penn State this past week. Overall, 10 of his offers in total have come this month.
Miles is not rated yet on 247Sports. He is listed at 6-foot-5, 220 pounds. During his junior season at Marblehead High School, he threw for more than 2,500 yards. He also had 28 total touchdowns and completed 73 percent of his passes. He has transferred to Hun High School in New Jersey for his upcoming senior season.
According to 247Sports, O’Neill has three unofficial visits set for next week. He will be in Happy Valley on Monday to check out Penn State. On Tuesday, he will be in East Lansing. And Wednesday has him set to visit our old friend Pat Narduzzi and Pittsburgh.
O’Neill definitely checks a lot of boxes. He has a big arm and the accuracy is there as seen by his completion percentage last season. O’Neill could absolutely prove to be a piece our quarterback room needs for this cycle. Mel Tucker and Jay Johnson will look to make an early impression on him Tuesday in hopes of being one of the schools that can lock in one of his remaining official visits.
