Jeremy Fears Jr. and Coen Carr teamed up at an All-American game this past weekend, getting their first taste of being teammates.

There is a lot to be excited about for the future of Michigan State basketball. The 2023 recruiting class of Jeremy Fears, Coen Carr, Xavier Booker, and Gehrig Normand is ranked No. 4 nationally in the 247Sports Composite team rankings. The group is expected to bring many highlights, wins, and success to the program.

Spartan Nation got a little sneak peek of what that could look like this past weekend. Jeremy Fears, Coen Carr, and Gehrig Normand were all invited to participate in the annual Ballislife All-American game in Southern California.

The game included some of the top high school players in the country and is annually one of the biggest high school basketball showcases in the United States. Past MVP winners of the game include Collin Sexton, Lonzo Ball, Zach Lavine, and Donovan Mitchell. Those are some pretty good players.

Other participants include Trae Young, Cassius Winston, Miles Bridges, and Dejounte Murray.

The point is, it’s a big deal.

This was the first time the game was held since 2019 due to COVID, and the Michigan State participants had a plan to welcome back the event with a bang.

Fears posted a very impressive highlight tape displaying his dazzling passes and impressive athleticism. You can even spot the high-flying Coen Carr on the receiving end of a pair of Fears’ passes.

Fears and Carr connecting on an “off the backboard” ally-oop, are you kidding? I need to see that in the Breslin Center like I need oxygen.

Carr put together a handful of highlights and these incredible photos were taken.

His head is easily above the rim.

Carr and Fears weren’t the only ones showing off in the game. Gehrig Normand also displayed his excellent shooting capability knocking down some threes throughout the night.

It’s safe to say the future is bright in East Lansing.
