Michigan State basketball: Coen Carr wins yet another dunk contest (Video)

Michigan State basketball signee Coen Carr has jumped out of another gym, winning the Ballislife All-American Dunk Contest.

When you see the name Coen Carr in a dunk contest, you know that he is going to have some highlights and most likely win the whole thing. This was true again this past weekend as the Michigan State basketball signee won the Ballislife All-American dunk contest.

This is just another event that Coen has won. Every dunk contest Coen has entered, he has won and he is going to bring that to East Lansing next year. 

Xavier Booker and Jeremy Fears might come up in a discussion before Carr does but he has a chance to be special at Michigan State. I’m not saying that Booker and Fears are not going to be because they should be discussed but if you want to look for the most electric athlete coming to Michigan State basketball next year, that answer is Carr.

What does Coen Carr bring to Michigan State?

Carr brings athleticism, the likes Michigan State has not seen since Brandon Dawson. If he gets a consistent jump shot, he will not be at Michigan State for all four years. Even if Carr doesn’t get that consistent jump shot, you are going to see high-flying dunks every night while he’s at Michigan State.

We have already seen a connection being formed being Fears and Carr as they played well together this past weekend. With Fears’ vision and Coen’s ability to get up, we will be seeing quite a few back-door dunks like we saw when Dawson and even Miles Bridges were at Michigan State.

Coen is not being talked about enough but he is going to make an immediate impact once he gets to Michigan State especially if he can play good defense and makes teams respect his jump shot.

This recruiting class coming in is already bringing excitement to Michigan State and the performances at the dunk contest and the athleticism that Carr has been showing is building even more excitement for Spartan basketball next year.
