Michigan State football and four-star safety Reggie Powers have locked in an official visit for the weekend of June 9.

Four-star safety Reggie Powers has just locked in an official visit to see Michigan State football. The visit is scheduled to begin June 9 and run through June 11.

This will be the first visit for Powers to East Lansing and it shows just how interested he is in Mel Tucker and MSU. The Spartans only offered Powers on May 1 and Powers turned around and scheduled an official visit only six days later. Scheduling a visit that quickly after an offer shows that he views MSU as one of his top schools.

The talented safety lives not too far from East Lansing as he is from Dayton, Ohio. Listed at 6-foot-1 and 195 pounds, Powers has the build to be a great safety in college.

On3 has him listed as a four-star while 247Sports and the overall composite have him as a high three-star.

Reggie has a solid offer list including Virginia Tech, Louisville, Cincinnati, and Iowa State, but the biggest offer by far is Big Ten East rival Ohio State. The Buckeyes appear to be the leader for Powers as they currently hold five crystal ball predictions on 247Sports. Regardless of that, there is no doubt some interest in MSU is there because he scheduled this visit so quickly after being offered.

Powers would be a great addition to the 2024 recruiting class. The Spartans class currently sits at four commitments with two of them being talented four-star corners. Adding Powers to the group would put the entire defensive back group in a great position to finish strong and be one of the better groups of the 2024 class.

The weekend of June 9 is shaping up to be a big recruiting weekend for the Spartans as Powers is the fourth scheduled visitor. He joins two other four-star prospects in linebacker Dylan Williams and offensive tackle Nathan Roy as well as three-star cornerback Syair Torrence.
