Michigan State football will host four-star offensive lineman Avery Gach in the month of February for a huge Junior Day.
Feb. 3 is setting up to be a huge day for Michigan State football. This is MSU’s first Junior Day since Jonathan Smith and his staff were hired and there are already many great recruits scheduled to visit.
Another extremely talented in-state recruit has just announced that he too will be visiting Michigan State on Feb. 3.
Four-star offensive lineman Avery Gach
Avery Gach is a four-star offensive lineman from Franklin, Mich. He is 6-foot-5 and 275 pounds and also possess the unique ability to play both the offensive tackle position and in the interior of the offensive line as well.
And 247Sports is extremely high on Gach as a prospect. They have him as the No. 193 player in the 2025 class and the No. 11 player at his position. He also is the No. 3 player from the state of Michigan as well.
It’s always super important to recruit the state of Michigan well now more than ever considering our in-state rivals are coming off a national title and will be recruiting these in-state players as well. Michigan has also offered Gach and other big name schools such as Alabama, Florida State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Ohio State, Georgia, Notre Dame, and Penn State have as well.
There’s no doubt that Gach could have scheduled a visit to pretty much any school named above, but he chose to come to East Lansing. That has to be a good sign for Michigan State and its chances to land him.
Recruiting leader
I already mentioned Michigan is involved in Gach’s recruitment, and unfortunately the Wolverines may be the current leader. They are the only school with a crystal ball prediction to win his recruitment. However, only one prediction so far suggests that his recruitment is a wide open race still.
Michigan State and Ohio State are also “warm” on his 247Sports recruiting page. This suggests that both schools are near the top of his list and are recruiting him extremely well.
Feb. 3 is going to be a huge day in his recruitment. The staff will have a chance to recruit him hard in person and maybe start turning the tides even more in his recruitment. There is no timetable for his decision, so all MSU can focus on right now is knocking this visit out of the park.
