Michigan State football has made the trimmed list of three-star wide receiver Javarius Green who has also scheduled a visit.
Three-star wide receiver Javarius Green has recently released his top seven schools and Michigan State football has made the cut.
Not only did Michigan State make the cut for his top schools, but Green has also scheduled an official visit to East Lansing for the weekend of June 9.
Green is from Shelby, N.C., and is listed at 6-foot-0 and 190 pounds. He is ranked as the No. 719 prospect in the 2024 class and No. 93 wide receiver. According to 247Sports, MSU is currently the only official visit Green has scheduled, so that could be an indication that MSU is near the top of his list if not No. 1 as of now.
North Carolina appears to be the biggest competition for MSU right now, and if the Tar Heels were to push hard for him this would be a tough recruitment to win as he is from their state.
Michigan State has a lot of unproven receivers on its roster, so adding multiple wide receivers to this class is very important to help build depth and talent for the future. MSU’s 2024 class currently consists of three recruits, none of which are skill players on the offensive side of the ball. Wide receiver coach Courtney Hawkins has a great eye for talent, so if he recruits someone hard he usually is correct on how talented they can be.
June 9 is another busy weekend for the coaching staff as seven recruits are scheduled to visit MSU. On that list is four-star corner Jamari Howard who recently decommitted from MSU but said are still in the hunt.
Will Michigan State be able to close this recruitment up during his official visit? If his last name means anything then I think they could.
