Michigan State football has landed three-star wideout Braylon Collier after he took an official visit to East Lansing last week.

A week ago, Braylon Collier was on campus, checking out Jonathan Smith’s Michigan State football program.

Now, the three-star wideout from Sandusky, Ohio, is officially a Spartan.

On Friday, Collier committed to Michigan State, becoming the first pledge of official visit season and the sixth overall in the Spartans’ 2025 class. He joins Leo Hannan, Di’Mari Malone, Jace Clarizio, Charles White, and Emmett Bock. There’s not a ton of starpower there, but there are a few guys who could become four-stars by the end of the cycle. I wouldn’t be shocked to see Hannan, Malone, or Collier get bumper up a whole star level.

Collier had been trending toward the Spartans for a little while and the 6-foot-1, 170-pound Ohio-based wideout chose the green and white over a couple of other Midwest programs. He was also very high on Iowa and Iowa State. This is a good win for Smith and Courtney Hawkins.

Although his offer sheet isn’t wildly impressive, it feels like Collier is one of those under-the-radar players who could become a solid contributor at the Power Five level. He may never be a superstar like Jayden Reed or Keon Coleman, but he’s going to move the sticks and be a trusted target.

Michigan State’s 2025 class is coming together nicely with a quarterback, a tight end, a running back, and now a receiver on the offensive side of the ball. It feels like official visit season is going to get Smith’s first full class kickstarted and maybe Collier will start a domino effect.

Collier is ranked the No. 132 receiver in the country and has been given an 87 rating by 247Sports. He has yet to be ranked in the composite, but 89/90 ratings are usually four-star status so he’s not too far off.

It’ll be interesting to see if Smith can add to the 2025 class this weekend.
