Michigan State Football Offers, Sets Visit With Three-Star SEC Commit LB

On Friday, Michigan State football remained active on the recruiting trail. Since spring football ended for the Spartans, Max Bullough has been on a search for the next linebackers to represent the green and white. His latest offer came from Missouri, with Bullough extending a scholarship offer to Caleb Green.

Green is a 6-foot-1, 215-pound defender from Lee’s Summit North High School (MO). He is rated no. 726 overall in the country, no. 60 among linebackers, and no. 11 among players from Missouri.

He has shot up recruiting boards lately, winning the linebacker MVP Award in the Under Armour Next Camp in March, held in St. Louis. That came on the heels of a 145 tackle, 14 tackle for loss, 2.5 sack season, per MaxPreps.

Green is blossoming into a player that teams need to take note of. His highlights show a player that is disciplined with good foot movement. His tackling technique can use refining, but his ability to be in the right spot is above what would be expected for a Big Ten recruit.

Who is Michigan State Football’s Competition?

The Spartans are vying for Green’s services with Missouri and Liberty. Green committed to Missouri last month, and it will be a tough climb for the Spartans, as they have to pry him away from his family. Caleb Green’s older brother Cayden is a starting tackle for the Tigers.

As it stands, Green visits Missouri on June 19. He is also set to visit Liberty on June 12. During the spring season, he took an unofficial visit to Iowa State, but has no official visit planned. The Spartans were Green’s first Big Ten offer, among conference foes.

Spartans Secure Official Visit

In addition to offering Green, Max Bullough and the Spartans secured an official visit with the talented backer for June 5. MSU will get the first shot at Green and the hope to flip commitments as the staff tries to pitch East Lansing over the hometown team.
