Michigan State Football Secures Official Visit From Georgia DL

As official visit season draws closer for Michigan State football, the staff is hard at work locking in travel plans for players. That was no different for Dallas Ward, as the McIntosh High School (Ga.) junior has set an official visit with the Spartans.

Ward is a 6-foot-3, 250-pound defensive lineman, with the tweener range to be an undersized defensive tackle or a solid edge rusher. He is currently being recruited by Wisnton DeLattiboudere III, the defensive line coach, which implies inside as the primary view, with the tape suggesting a three-technique defensive tackle.

Ward is currently unranked among the 2027 recruiting class, but his offer list suggests a medium- to high-three star ranking, as Minnesota entered the race for Ward on Monday, along with another Big Ten official visit to Rutgers looming.

During the 2025 season, Ward recorded 45 tackles, ten for loss, and nine sacks for McIntosh.

The Spartans offered Ward before their spring showcase on April 18, with the offer extended April 16. As it stands, Ward is set to visit East Lansing on June 12.

Who is Michigan State Football Competing With?

As mentioned above, Minnesota recently entered the race, and Rutgers is set to host his first official visit on May 29. The Spartans are set to host June 12, and that concludes his official visit list thus far. Cincinnati is the other school from the Power Four to offer Ward.

Unfortunately for the Spartans, On3 is leaning heavily towards Ward committing to Rutgers, with their predictions listing Rutgers well north of 95% probability of landing the Georgia defensive lineman.

Ward becomes only the third announced visitor for the June 12 weekend for Michigan State football, as it stands.
