Nick Marsh had one of the best commitment videos you’ll see (Video)

While many fans tuned in to the Nick Marsh announcement, we didn’t quite get a close-up look at his commitment video. It’s awesome.

Commitments are getting bigger and bigger as each year passes and Friday saw one of the more extensive ceremonies as Nick Marsh picked Michigan State.

The four-star receiver was going back and forth between Michigan State and Penn State but ultimately chose to stay “home” with the Spartans. He cited the fact that Mel Tucker didn’t give up on him when he reopened his recruitment and the fact that it’s close to home but not too close to home. Basically, East Lansing is his home away from home.

The ceremony was broadcast live by the This is Sparta MSU! podcast on YouTube and it lasted a little over a half hour with coaches and even the superintendent praising Marsh as a student and player.

After everyone spoke, a video played on the TV in the corner of the River Rouge auditorium. It was his official commitment video.

It may have been hard to see on the live stream, but Nick’s mother posted it on Twitter. And it was awesome.

The production quality of this video by Lucas Wright (@Wright_Lens on Twitter) is top-notch and it was cool to see the community come together to make it. His mom and grandma even made appearances which really added that family touch that we all talk about when describing MSU.

Marsh essentially Forrest Gump’d across the city of River Rouge with people following him and asking him, “Nick, where you going?”

He responded with “I don’t know” or “I have to think about it” before ending the video with a commitment to Michigan State featuring a photo of his entire family on his official visit.

Hats off to Marsh and Wright for creating this video because it was one of the coolest ones I’ve seen yet.
