Michigan State football will be getting official visits from a pair of massive offensive linemen in late June.

As the month of May moves on, more and more official visits are being locked in for 2024 recruits. This morning, Michigan State football got word that a pair of recruits who have been making names for themselves of late will be coming to campus next month.

Spartan fans, meet Mercer and Charlton Luniewski, twin brothers from Cincinnati, Ohio, who have been generating a lot of recent hype in recruiting circles.

Mercer announced on Thursday morning that he and his brother Charlton will be taking official visits to East Lansing during the weekend of June 23. Mercer is a 6-foot-7 offensive tackle from Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy. He is currently a three-star recruit in the 2024 cycle. Also, he was recently named OL MVP at the Under Armour Next Camp in Ohio this past week. A camp that featured another MSU target in four-star wide receiver Nick Marsh. The Luniewski brothers and Marsh will be on campus the same weekend in June. Let’s hope they have developed some friendship and may want to potentially partner up in East Lansing.

Mercer has received offers from 19 schools so far. MSU, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Kentucky, and Wisconsin being some notable Power Five schools on that list. His brother Charlton is a 6-foot-5 offensive guard who also plays at Cincinnati Hills Christian. He is not currently ranked by 247Sports. Charlton holds 10 current offers from schools. These offers notably include MSU, Virginia, and Kentucky.

Charlton and Mercer have played football for only two years but the talent is easy to spot. Together they have become a force on the line for Cincinnati Hills Christian. They would provide some much power up front for the Spartans as they try to stabilize the run game. They two seemed to have expressed interest in possibly playing together at the next level as well.

Mercer has been quoted saying that MSU has stood out for them because of how they have treated the brothers in tandem. That specifically was a point Mercer confirmed that led them to lock in their visit with the Spartans first. The brothers have unofficially visited Wisconsin and some other schools have started to be in contact with them both.

So far, Michigan State has 21 official visits locked in from recruits in the month of June. As more are released and announced, we will be updating you all so keep following Spartan Shadows for more recruiting news.
